My Story:
I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 11 years old, It was scary not knowing anything about it but I quickly realized more people than I thought had this condition. I quickly started to research, and became knowledgable in my condition and I was very passionate about telling people about scoliosis. When I was about 12 I was told that I would have to get a brace. This was not the best thing that I heard in my life, but I was oddly excited about getting it. Once I did get it however I found out it was not something to be excited about. It was uncomfortable, hard to move in and I absolutely hated it, but I was adamant that I could get through it. I knew that to get better I had to keep my spirits up and keep wearing the brace. Though it was difficult I did it! I got through my time with the brace and hearing I no longer had to wear it was the best news of my life! No matter how uncomfortable it is, no matter how much you feel that it won’t end, it will! You can get through it! You just have to believe in yourself because if you do, before you know it the doctor will be telling you that you don’t have to wear it anymore!
